Question

When I try to log in to Tempo Mobile app on my Android phone, I get an error "something went wrong". How do I resolve this?

Answer

Many Android phones have its default embedded web browser and users may have installed other browsers of their choice. The Tempo mobile app by default uses the embedded browser to do the authentication with Atlassian. If at any point a wrong account is used or an error occurs for the authentication, chances are this wrong information might be stored in the embedded browser's browsing history and cache.

The solution would be to open the embedded browser and navigate to id.atlassian.com/logout to explicitly log out of the session, clear the embedded browser's cache by going to its settings, and try logging in using the Tempo mobile app again. The way to clear browser cache might be different device by device. Please refer to your phone's user's manual for instructions.

Note that if the Tempo mobile app's authentication opens another browser instead of the embedded one, then the steps above need to be performed on this other browser.
