The Data Sources tab gives admins the ability to pull data into Custom Charts that is not stored directly on Jira issues.

On Data Center, this page is purely informational. However, on Cloud, you will need to take additional steps to enable the Timesheets and Structure data sources.

Insight Custom Fields

As of March 6, 2025, we have transitioned to an OAuth 2.0 integration for Assets (formerly Insight) to enhance data security. You no longer need to manage credentials or the data source – we’ve got it covered.

Please note:

  • Assets data will now follow your individual Jira user permissions.

  • For Confluence, you can still use User Impersonation to display Assets field data to users without licenses.

  • For Jira, Assets field data will only be visible to users with a JSM license.
