Dynamically update your charts with minimums and maximums!

Currently available for 1D charts

By setting minimum and maximum values, you can tailor your charts to highlight specific data ranges. This helps to:

  • Improve readability: Reduce visual clutter and make key trends and patterns easier to spot

  • Enhance focus: Zero in on the most relevant data and avoid distractions

  • Customize insights: Tailor your charts to specific analysis needs, such as identifying outliers or comparing performance metrics

Set up Minimums/Maximums

 

  • On the Chart By tab, enable the Set minimum/maximum values setting

  • You can then set a value for minimum, maximum, or both!

Other Customization Options

After enabling Set minimum/maximum values, a new section will appear on the Display Options tab, with various options to support each chart type.

 

Pie Charts & Funnel Charts
  • Use the Hide excluded segments from setting to choose if you want segments outside of the minimum/maximum range to be hidden only on the chart, or on the legend as well

Table Charts & Tile Charts
  • Use the Show placeholder for excluded values setting to choose if you want segments outside of the minimum/maximum range to be displayed on the chart with placeholders

Bar Charts
  • Use the Show placeholder for excluded values setting to choose if you want segments outside of the minimum/maximum range to be displayed on the chart with placeholders

  • Use the Display maximum line at the highest segment setting to shorten the y-axis to the highest segment’s value, regardless of the set maximum value
