Building a Structure with Presets
The following article is for structures built in Power mode.
Presets allow you to accomplish common tasks using predefined hierarchy templates:
Agile Hierarchy Preset — visualize any project (or multiple projects) in a traditional Agile hierarchy (Epics > Stories/Tasks > Sub-tasks)
Multi-project Overview Preset — visualize multiple projects organized by project
Scrum Backlog Preset — visualize any project (or multiple projects) organized by sprints
Status Overview Preset — visualize any project (or multiple projects) organized by issue status
Presets work best when added to a blank structure or beneath a flex item.
Step 1 - Select Your Preset
Starting with a blank structure (see Creating Your First Structure), open the Add menu and select Preset.
Select the Preset you want to use based on the type of hierarchy you want to create.
Step 2 - Customize the Preset
In the Preset settings, select the boards or projects you want to include in the structure. You can add as many as you want, but you cannot mix boards and projects.Â
Some presets have additional options, such as the issue types you want to include, how you want the issues grouped, etc. To learn more about configuring a specific preset, see Presets.
Step 3 - Build the Structure 3
Click Create. The preset will automatically add your issues and organize them into the appropriate hierarchy. They will also update the hierarchy if issue details change in the future.
