Setting Up for Basic Time Tracking
These tasks require Jira administrator or Tempo administrator permissions.
You can set up Tempo Timesheets for tracking time in your company at any point, but it's best to do it before most employees start using it. These steps aren’t mandatory, but you can follow them to customize Tempo Timesheets for your company.Â
Grant Tempo Administrator permissions to the appropriate group of administrators. This requires Jira Administrator Permissions.
Create workload schemes to define the working hours for your employees.
Create holiday schemes for each country to define its public holidays.
Create and configure Jira "Internal" issues for logging time to events such sickness or vacation.
Configure the Log Time form options that determine how users log time.
Create work attributes for custom time logging options in the Log Time form.
Configure Tempo worklog data retention according to your company's privacy policies.
