Setting Up for Billing, Contracts, and Capex/Opex

If your company is billing customers and creating invoices, working with contracts, or tracking Capex and Opex, you'll need to set up Tempo so that your company is ready to work with Accounts

Most of these tasks require Jira administrator permissions.

  • Grant Tempo Account Administrator permissions to the appropriate group in your company so that they can create accounts.

  • Create accounts for your customers. This requires Tempo Account administrator permissions.

  • Create an Account-type work attribute to have an Account field in the Log Time form so that employees can log time to a specific account. This requires Tempo administrator permissions.

  • Add the Account custom field to Jira issue screens to be able to link Accounts to issues.

  • Allow users to log their hours as Billable time.
