Does Tempo offer the option to select where my data is hosted?
Tempo intends to enable data residency, within the framework provided by Atlassian at a time in the future, once Atlassian provides the foundation to do so. Tempo (and all Marketplace Partners) is waiting for Atlassian to complete the capabilities required for Jira apps to be supported in various regions.
When will Tempo support Data Residency?
Atlassian is beginning to roll out data residency for Jira and Confluence, but not yet for the marketplace apps that run on those products. This work can be seen on Atlassian’s Cloud Roadmap for data management. Atlassian currently offers data residency in the US, Europe, and Australia. In order for Marketplace Partners to offer equivalent data residency capabilities, Atlassian must first provide foundational capabilities in those regions on which our apps will run and integrate with Jira. That work is under development by Atlassian and the work can be seen on Atlassian’s Cloud Roadmap for apps and extensibility. Once these capabilities are released by Atlassian our teams will commence work to support data residency in regions supported by Atlassian.
