Why Tempo Team and Team Roles are not showing correctly in Tempo Reports for users?

Answer

In Tempo, a user can only have one Role per Team, but one user can belong to more than one Team. Therefore, Tempo Reports will show the last added Team and Team Role for the user.

For example, Eric has recently joined a new team - QA with new role - Tester. Even though Eric also belongs to 2 different teams - Devs & IT at the same time, QA will show up in Team column for Eric in all Tempo Reports and Exports. Also, Team role - Tester for Eric will show up in Tempo Report, but not in raw data export.

Work around:

If you wish to obtain the correct Team and Team Role of a user, it’s best to use Tempo REST API to fetch Team > Team membership > User to cross check Team Role info.
