What Happens When a Tempo Timesheets Data Center License Expires
When the Tempo Timesheets Data Center (DC) license expires, the application enters read-only mode. The following behavior applies:
Functionality That Still Works
Users can continue to access and view existing Tempo data through the UI.
Historical worklogs, accounts, teams, and configurations remain visible.
Functionality That Stops Working
Tempo APIs will no longer function.
Any API request will fail because the system checks for a valid license before processing worklog- or plan-related API calls.
No changes can be made to Tempo data:
No new worklogs can be created, edited, or deleted.
Teams/permissions/settings cannot be modified.
Reports cannot be updated or regenerated with new data.
Key Notes
Expired license does not delete or impact existing data—everything remains intact in read-only mode. However, if the instance is currently unlicensed, Tempo Timesheets will be removed entirely.
Full functionality is restored once a valid DC license is reapplied.
