Chrome loading MyWork error: net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

Problem

ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID is one of the SSL errors. It can be a consequence of misconfiguration of certificate in a server. It can also be caused by a third-party extension. It can also be caused by security programs in a computer among them being antivirus and firewall.

Solution

Here is the checklist if you encounter this issue:

• Check that the date and time are correct

• Find out problematic extensions

• Confirm that the correct certificate is installed

• Check for redirects and Non-WWW vs. WWW

• Check that the site address is appropriate

• Clear SSL State

• Check proxy settings

• Self-signed certificate and different domains

• Check for Antivirus/Firewall
