When using Logged Time report export to CSV, Japanese, Chinese, or Korean content is not well displayed ("???" instead)
Question | When using Logged Time report export to CSV, Japanese, Chinese, or Korean content is not well displayed ("???" instead) |
---|---|
Answer | This is only happening when using Microsoft Excel to open and view the CSV file. A workaround would be to change the encoding in Excel to "UTF8". The reason behind it is that there is a limitation where CSV files do not allow for easy definition of file encoding in the file itself so if MS Excel is being used to open the file, the correct encoding has to be chosen. |
