Creating iterations on the team members timeline

You can create an iteration on the team members timeline and plan time for the team to work on a project.

Required permission

Plan Time permission for the team

Procedure

To create an iteration, on the team members timeline, create a plan in the team row, making sure to select the following values on the Create Plan sidebar:

In the Plan item type field, select Project.
In the Plan item field, select the name of the project that you want to create an iteration for.

A team plan is created. The team plan is an iteration. The iteration details are displayed on the 'Plan details' sidebar.

Tips

You can move and resize iterations on the team members timeline.
A program manager can also move and resize iterations on the program teams timeline.
You can add issues to and manage iterations on the team backlog.
You can assign issues from the iteration to team members on the team board.
