Logging Time in the Jira Issue View - Tempo Cloud

  • Logging time for yourself requires the Work On Issues permission for the Jira project to which the issue belongs.
  • Logging time for other team members requires the Log Work for Others permission.

If you're working in a Jira issue, you can easily log time to it right there. The Tempo panel gives you options to log time on that issue and to edit your time records.

  1. In the Jira issue view, click the Tempo icon  in the toolbar at the top to open the Tempo panel.
  2. Do either of the following:
    1. Click the Log Time button in the Tempo panel.

      -OR-
    2. Click Open Tempo on the right side, and then Log Time.


  3. Fill in the Log Time Form.
  • You can press the w key from anywhere within Jira to open the Log Time form and start logging your time.
  • To quickly get to My Work from the Jira issue, press the g+t keys.
