Set Billable Hours Permissions for a Project

When you're invoicing your customers or clients, you need to be able to enter your billable hours separately from your worked hours.

The Set Billable Hours permission makes the Billable field available in the Log Time form for those who need to enter billable hours. 

To grant Set Billable Hours permissions for a project, you need Jira Administrator permissions:

1. Navigate to Project > Project Settings > Permissions to view the permission scheme associated with the project.

2. To modify the permission scheme, click on Actions > Edit Permissions in the top-right corner.

3. Under Time Tracking Permissions, select Set Billable Hours permissions.

4. Add the Jira group of users who need to track billable hours to this permission.
