General Settings

Use these configuration settings to define worklog default behaviors in Time Reports for Jira Server and Data Center.

  • Disable Log Work: Enable to disable the Log Work button for all projects and groups. You can also specify which projects and groups for which logging work or updating entries in the reports is not possible.

  • Restrict Working Hours Per Day: Enable to not allow users to log more hours per day than Working Hours Per Day (configured in Jira Time Tracking settings).

  • Log Work Retrospectively: Select how far in the past users can log, edit, or delete work.

  • Require Work Description: Enable to require a work description when adding or updating a worklog.

  • Preserve Started Time: Enable to not convert worklog started time to the current user's time zone.

  • Work Labels: Create a list of labels that can be used in worklog comments as hashtags for grouping.

  • Under Limit Color: Select the color to highlight worked hours under 1 day. Click the color swatch to select a color, or add a specific HEX value.

  • Over Limit Color: Select the color to highlight worked hours over 1 day. Click the color swatch to select a color, or add a specific HEX value.

  • Limit Precision: Select the number of minute by which to limit the precision of the working day.

  • Cache Worklog: Enable to use local storage for issues with more than 20 worklogs.
