Plan work for a group of teams

As a program manager, you gain a high-level overview of the capacity and progress of the teams in your program (group of teams) and can plan iterations and product releases for the teams. If your organization also uses JIRA Agile or JIRA Software, you can plan epics for the teams.

Becoming a program manager

One of the following people can make you a program manager:

• A Tempo team administrator
• A JIRA administrator

Before you begin

Before you plan work for teams in your program, ensure that the following tasks are done:

• A JIRA administrator configured Tempo Planner.
• A Tempo team administrator or a JIRA administrator created teams for your program.
