Scheduling sprints

If JIRA Agile or JIRA Software is installed and you create sprints in one of those products, you can schedule all sprints (not only the active sprint) for a team in Tempo Planner.

Plan Time permission for the team

Before you begin

The team must be linked to the scrum board that contains the sprints.

Procedure

To schedule a sprint, on the team members timeline, create a plan in the team row, making sure to select the following values on the Create Plan sidebar:

In the Plan item type field, select Sprint.
In the Plan item field, select the name of the sprint.

A team plan is created. The team plan is a sprint. The sprint details are displayed on the 'Plan details' sidebar.

Tips

You can move and resize sprints on the team members timeline.
You can add issues to and manage sprints on the team backlog.
A program manager can also move and resize sprints on the program teams timeline.

Known issue

If you change the name of a sprint in JIRA Software or in JIRA Agile, the change of name might be delayed on some screens of Tempo Planner due to a caching issue.
