Giving epics to teams to work on

If JIRA Software or JIRA Agile is installed, you might have created JIRA epics. As a program planner, you can distribute the epics among the various teams in your program. Team leads can then easily assign JIRA issues from their epics to team members.

Procedure

To give an epic to a team to work on, complete the following task:

On the program board, in the Backlog column, click anywhere inside the epic except on the epic key, and drag the epic to the To Do column. Drop the epic in the row of the team that you want to give the epic to.
