Upgrading from Timesheets 8.0

This article is for Tempo for Data Center.

  1. Before you start, please ensure that you do a full backup of your Tempo Timesheets instance.
  2. Upgrade to Tempo Timesheets for Server 8.2.0 (Compatible with Jira server from 6.4.12 to 7.3.9) 
  3. All worklog attributes are migrated from an xml file stored in the JIRA db to a new Active Objects table. For large instances with many worklog attributes linked to worklogs this might take some time. See the Proactive Actions before Install page for all details. 
  4. Upgrade to Tempo Timesheets for Server 8.6.0   (Compatible with Jira server from 7.0.0 to 7.5.4) 
  5. New Database columns are added in this version. See the Proactive Actions before Install page for all details. 
  6. Upgrade to Tempo Timesheets for Server 9.0.0 (Compatible with Jira server from 7.3.0 to 7.13.18) 
  7. Once that is done, upgrade to Tempo Timesheets 10. (Compatible with Jira server from 8.0.0 to 8.0.3) 
  8. After upgrading to Tempo Timesheets 10, upgrade to the latest Tempo Timesheets version.
